55a Travesía Illes Medes - Estartit

L'Estartit offers a mix of traditional Mediterranean lodging options. You can find charming boutique hotels tucked into the harbor streets, providing quick access to the race start. For a more authentic coastal experience, many renovated fishermen's houses are available for short-term rental. Alternatively, several high-quality campsites are located just steps from the beachfront, ideal for those preferring an active, outdoor base. Prices typically range from €80 to €220 per night, depending on the proximity to the waterfront and the level of service.

Beyond the race, the area is defined by its maritime and archaeological heritage. You can explore the ruins of the ancient Greek colony of Empúries or take a kayak trip through the caves of the Montgrí Massif to see the coastline from a different perspective. For those interested in local flavors, the region is famous for its 'arrossada' and wine tastings, which celebrate the agricultural wealth of the Empordà plains. Hiking trails along the coastal paths offer panoramic views of the islands, perfect for cooling down after the event.
