Where to stay
Luján offers a mix of modest local hotels and traditional countryside 'estancias' adapted for visitors. You will find small guesthouses near the city center and occasional private rentals closer to the lake perimeter. Expect to pay between 40 USD and 85 USD per night for standard double rooms, depending on the proximity to the historic Basilica area. Many participants prefer staying within the city limits for easier access to local services and dining before the early morning start.
Things to do nearby
The area is defined by its colonial heritage and religious significance. After the race, visitors often head to the Basilica of Luján, a massive neo-Gothic structure that dominates the local skyline. For those looking to stay active, the surrounding pampas are suited for long-distance cycling on flat rural roads. Local gastronomy focuses on traditional asado, with numerous parrilladas located along the riverfront offering a look into the region's cattle-ranching culture.
