Where to stay

Manly offers a range of options, from historic boutique hotels overlooking the harbour to practical self-contained apartments near the beach. For a more immersive coastal experience, small-scale guesthouses near the ferry terminal are highly sought after. Prices typically range from $250 to $500 per night for a double room, depending on proximity to the oceanfront and the specific level of service. Booking early is recommended as the area remains a popular destination for weekend visitors year-round.

Things to do nearby

Beyond the water, the area is defined by its coastal heritage. You can spend your weekend exploring the network of walking trails through Sydney Harbour National Park, which offer panoramic views of the coastline you just swam. For a slower pace, browse the local markets near the wharf or visit the various cafes that line the promenade. Kayaking and SUP rentals are widely available in the sheltered coves, providing a perfect way to explore the shoreline from a different perspective.
