Organized by the Nobile dei Laghi, the event has carved out a unique identity, blending competitive spirit with a festive, welcoming atmosphere that extends well beyond the finish line.
What truly sets this race apart is its heartfelt commitment to social causes. Every registration contributes directly to the 'Senza Limiti' association, an organization dedicated to promoting sports for individuals with diverse abilities. By participating, you aren't just clocking a time; you are supporting a mission of accessibility and empowerment. The event is intentionally designed to be family-friendly and inclusive, offering multiple race distances that cater to both seasoned endurance athletes and those looking to test their mettle in open water for the first time. The camaraderie is palpable, from the morning start to the post-race 'Sangria Party' that brings everyone together on the shore.
Lake Orta itself is a hidden jewel, often described as the most romantic of the Italian lakes. Its calm, mirror-like surface and the enchanting view of the Island of San Giulio provide a tranquil, almost meditative environment for swimmers. Whether you are aiming for a podium finish or simply enjoying a long, rhythmic swim through these historic waters, the experience is unforgettable.
