Nantucket to Martha's Vineyard Jaws 18-Mile Open Ocean Relay Swim

Edgartown offers a classic New England experience, ranging from historic captains' homes converted into boutique inns to harbor-side hotels. Visitors can also find seasonal rentals in the village center. Due to the island's high demand during the July peak, expect nightly rates for a standard double room to start at $450, often climbing well above $700 depending on proximity to the harbor and the specific dates of your stay.

The area is defined by its maritime heritage and natural preserves. Swimmers can explore the coastal trails of the Chappaquiddick barrier beaches, rent a kayak to navigate the quieter reaches of the sound, or visit the historic whaling sites in Edgartown. Local oyster farms offer tastings that highlight the island's cold-water aquaculture, providing a direct link to the marine environment you traverse during the relay.
